I don’t have hearing loss but I love watching tv with subtitles, I’ve seen other videos of these and think they are really cool but their is a little lag on the subtitle generation so I think in the future when they can keep up with the pacing of the tv and movies then I would get these. They are really cool.

An example of a product made by hearing people in attempt to help deaf people.
As a deaf person, I think the idea behind this product is great. However, my problem is that, I don't really want to have text impeding my vision. I would rather other people learn how to accomodate us better over the other way around. After all, for me, the product would be most helpful in the enivronments that the product would work the worst in. Like noisy restaurants, the amount of text it would be picking up it would be hard to process what is from where. I have no idea how this thing would actually help me, it would make things worse.
