Poem song/video entitled: Hey Krip-Hop Kids. The concept is from a Krip-Hop elder passing down some inspiration to the next generation of Krip-Hoppers. Video has some disabled Black/Brown/White older artists’ baby pictures like we are talking to our younger selves but really we are talking to future Krip-Hoppers. Hey Krip-Hop Kids, the song and video, is a collaboration with mainly older Black and Brown Krip-Hoppers and Deaf Hip-Hoppers who have worked in the field of music, poetry, activism for decades and Leroy Moore to say to younger disabled/Deaf artists that we have pathed the way and opened up doors for you, the world is yours!!

Lyrics written and sung by the founder of Krip-Hop Nation, Leroy F. Moore, and music/video production by Hash24. The song/video is on Krip-Hop’s YouTube page and is only be used for educational purposes. The video is caption. If I reached out to you to be apart of it, thank you in advance. Your involvement means a lot to me. Others take a look at it. I’m really excited for this poem song and video. Thank you again to all the artists who sent me their baby pictures and thanks to my nephew who produced music and video!

Lyrics

Hey Krip-Hop Kids

We are the mirror
No either or
Hold yourself
Put that societal ableism on the shelve

Hey Krip-Hop Kids

Rapping for you
Put on your shoes
Your Krip-Hop elders left a path
This is your world, do the math

Way beyond SSI

Get your richest on
To not only your daughters and sons
Pass the binary
Cause we are family

From the top
Elders of Krip-Hop
We might be old, we can’t be stop
If you touch our youth, pop pop pop

We are the mirror
No either or
Hold yourself
Put that societal ableism on the shelve

Hey Krip-Hop Kids

Rapping for you
Put on your shoes
Your Krip-Hop elders left a path
This is your world, do the math

Way beyond SSI

Get your richest on
To not only your daughters and sons
Pass the binary
Cause we are family

Ramping the music industry
Krip-Hop Kids feeling
Black Blind Blues elders smiling
Cause they are proud

Krip-Hop Kids living out loud
Making their own sounds
With a booming bass
So the Deaf feels it

You can’t copy this ish
Teaching the original Krip walk
With our slur speech CP talk
Krip-Hop linguistic

Dear Krip-Hop Kids

Don’t lock up your elders in nursing homes
We communicate with you don’t need cell phones
Let the whole world know
You aren’t the future, you’re right now

Hey Krip-Hop Kids

You’re lit
Giving society some lip
Then limp away
Cause there’s nothing else to say

This is your Black Kripple
Your Krip-Hop elder
Talking to
Krip-Hop Kids
