I always thought that maybe the option of auto caption would work irl but then I was without german in germany, trying to use it, and it only cought the things people said close to it. When it was more then one person it was incomprahensible. Btw in my job they had an inclusion team that forgot to include me in any way for a year xd. Literally made a workshop about inclusion that was in hard german and didn't bother to even translate it.

Interpreter is stupid when kid tell to her/him then interpreter tell to teacher, he will saying to him bruh
@CarterJames-Deaf
They really nailed the teachers cluelessness
@ShanEQua-t6m
A parent should not put a deaf child in the wrong school where there is language deprivation or inaccessible! A father and mother should have research schools first before sending her/him! The parents are responsible for the child's education!
@ShopGurl06
As a hard of hearing person, I can definitely relate to this. I had interpretersbwhen the teachers' voices weren't within my hearing range and the interpreters were okay at level 1 or 2 with my classes I was takibg at the time. But then when I switched to taking college classes for the firat of a few Engineering degrees (for ny AAS degree I first need before going onwards to my B.S. degree ans then my Masters degree in Engineering), I feared that the interpreters wouldn't be good enough for my computer programming classes of that AAS degree. So,… I just used the CC option, but it still messed up.

I was thinking, why not create universal language for people who struggle already so much? So they can at least understand eachother from different parts of the word?
And encourage to learn it in schools?
It might be proved even usuful outside its original purpose.
@Grannystorm
I tried to learn sign language, through linvago. It was really fun but got super expensive. It would be soo good If school's just added sign language beside french and Latin! I don't want any person to feel isolated! So why not teach ASL BSL at school so we could change the howl environment for people that a defβ€

I cannot believe the backward attitude towards deafness in children in the 21st century STILL among teachers which is unforgivable.

Once i signed thank you to a deaf customer and literally the light in her eyes. It's literally the only thing i know how to sign but it's amazing the difference it can make. It's only a shame that there isn't a universal sign language

Now I am not deaf but I have hearing issues. Different kind of issues. And voice modulation issues. And it's amazing how similar my experience has been to this. Thank you for putting it together so succinctly.
@praj1636
does anyone know what the green things in his ears are? i was thinking hearing aids but iβve never seen ones like those before! looks a lot like in-ear monitors for concerts π hope this doesnβt come off as rude by the way, just purely curious
@sabdelro
I used to implement transcriber application when I tought such student back in 2020. I arrived in that class 5 minutes earlier, connect student's smartphone with wireless head phones through transcriber app, finally say hello and observe if it is written on student's smart phone, then after this hello the class started. That was only student allowed to use smart phone in my class amid this reason. I talked to student's family in anticipation, luckily they make sure that student's mom can teach her later from the transcribed lecture easily and additionally also provided me with wireless head phones which I use for lecture and then return back to student each time. Sometimes a little cooperation and understanding can fix the so called life-long problems!

THIS is what a workplace/school with no DEIA initiatives looks like. Disadvantaging deaf people, the ol' traditional conservative way!
@Jiafeistan
Instead of teaching French in British schools we should be learning sigh language

Is interesting how much I can relate to the feeling even though my disability is invisible
I'm autistic and many times feels like we can't communicate the same as others and that no one make the minimum effort to learn how to include us
