There's been technological advances on both sides of sight and hearing restoration. It's very primitive but someone like Michael should be the first offered but I think the NHS isn't there yet

I can’t even imagine how shut off from life you must feel losing those two senses. What an amazing man to accept and move forward and having the gumption to learn to communicate in yet another way and not to be shut out if life.
