Tourette’s syndrome is a neurological condition and disability which causes involuntary movements called tics. I use my platforms on social media such as TikTok, YouTube and Instagram to advocate and raise awareness for the condition and show what it is like living with a disability as a teen in school.
My name is Zara Beth (zeezee25 on tiktok) and I post videos about tics, tic disorders and what its like to be a teen living with Tourette’s syndrome, Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) and a seizure disorder (NEAD/NES).
I show what its like having tics and Tourettes in class and in school and college, vlog, and I also bake, do other challenges and answer all your questions in Q and A videos.
I am also an ambulatory wheelchair user so I show what life looks like using various mobility aids and how needs change from day to day!
I am also a musician! My newest release is my first single (original song) called “She’s Mine” which is now available on all streaming services – I sing and play piano, guitar, ukulele and I write, produce, mix and master all my own songs and content myself!

  • As a just turned 15 year brothers (June 12) I have autism bullied in school I don't have turrets but I have a vocal tic going mm sound or saying fuck over again in bussie spaces or I get over excited with my adhd

  • Someone in my class said that "maybe if I have POTS (he only knew this because I shared, more like my teacher shared, on the first day of class that I have epilepsy and POTS along with Anxiety and PTSD) then I can skip schools! Or epilepsy so I can just have a seizure and then leave for multiple days!" He announced this loudly behind me to his friend, I didnt yell at him, explain why what he said was wrong, or have any normal reaction. No. Instead I stared violently laughing and when he asked why I was laughing I told him "I just think it is funny that you idolize Cardiac and neurological disabilities!" He tried to make up an excuse for what he said all while I was laughing.

  • If only those people who complain about extra time and “special accommodations” knew what it takes to get through a normal day for a person with a disability they would shut up. Don’t you just wish you could trade places with them for a week- if that were possible I have the feeling there would be a lot less of this type of complaining in the world. You just keep your head up lass and keep that positive attitude in the face of stupidity- it’s them, not you. ❤

  • So I’m not diagnosed with Tourettes but sometimes I’ll punch myself or dramatically tap my desk really fast, or say something random at random times, or a few other stuff. So idk if this is a form of it or not. If anyone wants to let me know on what this could be let me know.
