These girls see sign language as their superpower. They are children of deaf adults (CODA). #shorts

Globally, it’s estimated that 9 in 10 children born to deaf parents are hearing.
Dhyaana Shona and Dipikha Soniya grew up learning sign language from their deaf parents, who roped in their hearing grandparents to teach them how to speak from young.

ur not alone i struggle still at 33 years old when it comes to being around people. im glad i am no longer physically abused. still get the verbal part though but nothing like it was. sad how people turn 360 degrees when they find out you cant hear very good. used to be because if my hearing aids sticking out and my deaf voice but now can speak clearly in the last 5 or so years. so its not as bad….

They're already such influential young women, empowering the world around them!!! Inspirational. I feel moved to want to learn.
@AyyoShyGurlTv
Lovely young people. Love how they believe kids should not be so dependent on their parents, we can see how stepping up has made them stronger. the daughter in blue is a quieter personality but she speaks up as confidently as the daughter in red. Thanks for posting this and introducing them, they will be good community members as they grow.

Shout out to them! But it's sad to say that there will always be trash people who mock and look down on others.
