i thought all sign language are the same…like i thought deaf people around the world would understand each other😅😅😅 but no…just like our verbal language…they are different😅😅😅
I just watched a movie about the sign language policy in Hong Kong. The name is "The Way We Talk", directed by Adam Wong. I thought their sign language is Hong Kong sign language, not the Mandarin. Because the words in sign language used is unique in their language Cantonese.
I am thinking if the sign language is used by the communication with local people, local people should learn sign language , but at the same time, universal sign language may kill the local sign language. I think they may prefer better to talk in two sign languages.
