Here I thought Beethoven was just so badass that he didn't need to hear music by that point to be able to compose gold. That he could hear it in his head. As it turns out, he did hear it in his head, literally, by way of this ingenious method. So not the way I pictured it… but badass in a more human way, rather than that of a TV super genius! I never would've come up with that kind of idea!
I don't think people understand how incredible beethoven was. He had an understanding of music that goes far beyond being called "gifted".
