Do you need a wheelchair?
Dear: no
Me: 😂
@NowandDen83
My son was born deaf mom is not deaf and im not deaf but my son is smart her pregancy was rough because she had emotional stress but he is strong and he is so smart he learned ASL alot ❤
@OmarionGolks
I'm a hearing person who had dated a Profoundly Deaf man since he was born. I'm also fluent in ASL. Eventhough, I've lived in a hearing world all my life, I am more relaxed in the Deaf world. My 2 best friends are Deaf & I actually interpreted their wedding in sign language as a favor for them. I am not a certified sign language interpreter, but I self-taught myself Christian signs for their wedding. That was a challenge because I'm Jewish & had very little knowledge of the Christian signs. But, I did a great job, anyways 😊!
@lindaalvarez8855
I hired a deaf helper, he helped me for many years…and he told my family and friends that he used to enjoy pissing me off when I was an 🐴 by making me speak loud as if he could hear me, we are forever friends he came to the USA just to make cash and go back home to his country, we communicate by cellohone.❤🫂 🙏
@Jorde-v4w
shyanna is so beautiful
@isect2015
I think the one who talks about "Identity" seems from that small sample size to be the sort of person who would find her identity no matter what world she is dropped in
That is the type of person that finds a way.
@gkiltz0
Got news for you
Most hearing people play their car audio system TOO LOUD so they can't hear sounds from outside the car anyway.
Deaf people should actually be able to drive BETTER than hearing people because they don't have the distractions of the car audio, the engine noise and stuff like that
@gkiltz0
I am hard of hearing and the question whether or whether not I would like to hear is difficult for me because I love my identity as a deaf person… but it causes me so much struggle 😭😭 I would like to say I want to stay deaf, but not get any worse ( which I do, I get worse every year), but I also wish I could hear people better I want to know what people are saying I have so much trouble it makes me feel left out in class because everyone is laughing and I don’t understand why or everyone has friends and I don’t because they don’t talk to me because they assume I cant hear at all
Sorry for yapping :p
I don’t even know sign language and it makes things even more difficult cuz to talk to ppl they usually have to write it down to me I’m trying to learn tho !!
@phantasmagoria617
I wanted to know why the one person hates being asked if they like music. There are variances in deafness, you can sense vibrations, and two people with similar hearing aren’t going to necessarily both enjoy music the same amount. Obviously they know what they’re talking about but I would have liked to hear some elaboration.
@ninetysixxtears
Always been told there are no dumb questions. Which is it?
@CamelWhisperer123
yesterday one of my friends asked me if i could put off my hearing aids so they could test if i was really 100% deaf, like what??
@ihavewitnessedthehorrors
'do all deaf people speak the same sign language' how is that an annoying question? It seems to come from a place of curiosity and wanting to learn. When I moved to Australia I noticed they have 'ASL' which is Australian Sign Language. It's a good question, perhaps stop being annoyed at people who are wanting to learn more about people with deafness
@holdontightsam4579
There's imposter
@rohitmehera-p6p
i think sign language is so cool! i really wanna learn it
@AnnaKlitten
everyone has their own version of those kind of questions, not big of a deal, in that sense, it's no different so deaf people have to get annoyed
@huynh75
The girl in pink is so pretty 😍
@gymgymgymmy123
I laughed at this one "Do you like music?" Ouch! God bless you all, and thanks for sharing…😊😊😊
@keishabonner7309
I think it would be great if schools had something like a basic asl as atleat a barrier breaker then have advanced electives taught by an actual deaf instructor to teach a real well deep rooted common language so that we hearing people can actually be fluent rather than being annoying using a broken worded version that makes it a pain in the rear for the person we are speaking to. Clarity surely would make alot of difference because I don't want the person that I'm trying to talk to get annoyed or frustrated with me when my intentions are to know that person without it being a barrier but to be genuine because there are beautiful brilliant deaf people who are not silent but love to talk and have fun in conversation.
@razzyjr12345
Please do more!!
@FeliciaFollum
The blonde girl gets a lot of sex questions huh…there is good and bad about being pretty
@summerperez4450
'Do you need a wheelchair? ' For some reason, that made me LOL.. 😂😂
@valsainking
To me, all the different sign languages are the most beautiful languages in the world. I have studied them a bit and I find them to be incredibly expressive. I think it's simply amazing that there's languages that are silent.
@user-nm6dr4uy3d
Cheyenna has a youtube!
@cococovers1333
I dated A deaf gal back in the 90's, she was very direct about things, everything. Phone calls were awkward because someone else is repeating everything she was signing, "sucking dick, orgasms etc". Very direct sexually, it was incredible because there were zero games, no guessing how she felt about our relationship, we just communicated on another level, and I didn't know ASL.
@chrisandrews3275
Great video I’m old and I’m sorry that I’m just now starting to learn sign language.
@iloveshaakah
i hate when at school teachers tell me to remove my hearing aids because they think they're headphones
@isacannibal
Some of the answers to whether they'd want to hear strike me as discriminatory towards themselves. I wouldn't think to judge someone for being deaf or treat them differently as a human being, but they're telling me that it would change who they are? I don't assume your life sucks because you're deaf, but neither should you assume your life would be worse if you were "like us". Your ability to empathize with, understand, and be friendly with the deaf community is only contingent on you cotinuing to being deaf? Really? That shouldn't be true. So you're saying people should actually judge you because you're deaf? I don't get it. Maybe the question could be asked "if you lost your vision, would you want it back?" because in this case it's a sense you understand the value of.
@machineofadream
The ome guy in the red shirt decided to talk and the glasses
@raphaelventer9616
"Can you have sex?" What kind of crazy stuff are you in to? Do you have sex with peoples ears?
@johansson8960
The question "Do you have a universal language?" is actually not that stupid though. The rest of them are pretty rough. But that one i think makes sense.. i was not sure either
@johansson8960
Can you read my lips? Is a good question, to help you communicate.
@kathleenpang7138
I'm fully normal and I once dated an attractive deaf girl Karen. We were in love like any other young couple. She read lips and wrote down notes. People were always asking me weird annoying questions and making assumptions like, did I have disabilities too, or was I a professional who worked with the deaf, or was I her brother who helped her along. The one I hated the most was, why do you want a deaf girlfriend? The sickest one I ever got, was this religious zealot woman on an airline flight, who said it was wrong for me to love Karen because God was punishing her for her sins
@JIm-w1b
One question I would ask is, why do they move their mouth when doing sign language as if they could speak, but they can't?
@mr.boniato6402
In light of a system error, we regret to inform you that the transaction has been sent to an invalid email address.
@David__x2p3
Maybe they were asking the individual, not the community. I don't think someone should be ashamed for trying to get to know someone.
@user-jt5vm3mi1w
1:17 Well English is supposedly a "universal" language, at least in many countries. Then there is the artificial language Esperanto with less success. So the question is not dummy imo
@thms93
People who hear and love to insult people who are deaf need to get educated about conditions related to hearing.
@David-dc3nk
'Shyana' is an absolute ride… like a young Christina Applegate. Gorgeous. Marina not bad either.
@stephengallagher2209
Sorry, but if you cannot hear vehicle horns, you are more likely to be in accidents. Do you like music? He implies it's an obvious yes, but how can he, if he cannot hear it? Valid questions, deafies.
@stephengallagher2209
I hate when people say that sign language is not a language when it is
@Tesrhlo
0:08 Which is HUGE in reality. Only deaf people don't understand how important is that aspect.
0:57 And what? Everyone's different. Hearing it 100 times from 100 different people doesn't mean hearing the same thing every single time.
@AdolfIlCinico
I’m HOH , I wear dual hearing aids and I can speak, much like the young man in the maroon T shirt. I sign but not every day since my wife doesn’t sign much….and before anyone starts typing…we’ve been married 42 years so to begin with I knew she didn’t sign and she knew I was HOH. My kids don’t sign. They didn’t have to.
@alanolson6913
Privileges are given, and not always exercised.
@Redd_Fawkes
1:26 how do you know they yell behind your back🤔🤔🤔 😆😆😆😆
@adityaken8749
The ladies laugh at 3:30 made my day. As did the fact that they are all beautiful, self aware people just happy to be alive.
@belleyboy
Thank you for this video..very informative😊
@Cam-kz5xu
I learned pretty quickly that no one signs the exact same. That's one explanation for the variations of signs that I found, anyway.
@petalpielily6740
Why not have one form of sign language?
@MrE1981
Some of these questions are obviously stupid and insulting, but some of them seem like they could be genuine questions asked by uneducated people.
"Can you drive?" Well obviously they're physically capable of driving, but maybe the person doesn't know whether there's some law that says you have to be able to hear to drive.
@Luthi3n3
This makes me infinitely more grateful for having usable senses. Damn, being dead, blind, or unable to speak seems like a huge curse :/
