This happens to my auntie allot, because she had coaches for speech therapy very expensive when she was young, because she is a deaf person and moved in her adult years to hearing community, and she was good with lip reading and her personal persona speech so when she talks she can't hear herself, shes only using a coaching assimilator to communicate with an accents, she cant hear anything. But now she is communicating first and most important to hearing people around her so they dont assume that she hears them, or that she is not interested in them. Allot of BS she faces for being deaf.
@NYprincess2.0
Might be a dumb question but would constant eye contact not make it harder to know what the other person is saying? Assuming you're close, I imagine it's less of a problem from further away
@bouclechocolat
I dont know sign language, but i use the subtitles to understand and really makes me want to learn sign language
@patdonn6975
I'm learning sign language and this isn't the first video I watch from you guys (which, I've just realized, is really old lmao-), but it was the first vid where I didn't need to turn on the captions to understand Ryan haha 😅
I'm getting a little better!
@WildWildWeasel
Hooray for Starbucks, and glad they have the puppercino for Java.
@EnjoyingLifeMelanie

I have a question, if your deaf (since you are) can you hear words in your head or is it the same (cant hear physical words) situation?
I would love to know.
Btw i liked and subbed!👍
@Mr.Meowtain43
That's service everyone should get imho. Yet with how little some of these employees get paid I can also see them being like 'nah, I aint getting paid enough to deal with this sh-' Not that that's a good thing but… you know…
@mellchiril
The Starbucks I used to go to when working out of town for a few years had a deaf worker there on the morning shift. We eventually got to the point where everyday he would teach me some new ASL and he always beamed when he got the chance to see me walk in. Absolutely one of the best baristas I've had the pleasure to meet. One of the neat things was that particular management crew chose to learn ASL to support him.
@mastoner20
I feel so bad that some people treat deaf and disabled different

Why I managed a Taco Bell one of the favorite parts of my job was when I was called to the window or counter for me to sign with a customer. It was always a cool exprience. They always relaxed and you could see their relief. They could order with no BS. I have no idea why companies don't give bonuses for people who learn to sign enough to take an order.

@DianaBozarth-ut6lj
❤❤❤❤ puppy love 🎉🎉
@DianaBozarth-ut6lj
I love it when puppies get to share at the drive-through. Twice a year, I give my puppies an up and ice cream at mcdonald's. It's really the only thing I ever buy there.
@DianaBozarth-ut6lj
The poor guy has a bad memory. He couldn't remember three drinks. He couldn't even really remember two at a time. People, you need more vitamins.
@DianaBozarth-ut6lj

@BillyLannon

@glynnstephens4201
I am not deaf. I do not know ASL. When the driver started signing, it told me that I do not belong here. This is probably unforseen by you guys, but it was enough for a 62yro surfing YT.
@Dreadfulbride
How did You loss his hearing
@RealEstateChicago
It feels so weird to not have constant noise on a YouTube video.

My son is medically complex and special needs but it’s not obvious to people who don’t know. It’s changed so much how I see things.
@Fhkfsgjlojk
This is random and I hope it doesn’t sound weird or offensive but as someone with sensory overload I enjoyed the quietness of this conversation ❤
