  • Ramen in Florida prison is 1.07 for one maruchan square pack

  • Securis and Amatark or however it’s spelled. Got to be billions

  • Shows how long its been since i did time they used iti and we dam sure didn't get a tablet you wanted entertainment u could play poker or get a battery radio lmao

  • Not only is it expensive to communicate with your loved ones, but it also takes a super long time for any pictures to get approved. I have a brother that's incarcerated, and I sent him pictures of my artwork (animals, natures, etc.); it literally took 6 months for them to get approved.

  • Just wait til they stop all physical books, and the only way you can read will be on the tablet.

  • Because losing connections with family is certainly going to help keep someone from reoffending. This is the cruelest thing ever. It is also massively counter productive, unless you are trying to make a revolving door to keep convict rates high

  • One of the jails I was in was charging $1.50 for a package of Ramen Noodles. Let that sink in.

  • I spent 20 months in federal prison and various jails, and I have never seen a bigger scam in my life than these jail tablets and being able to communicate with your people in the outside world. Everything in the prison system is a complete scam, run by corporations owned by the same people sending people to fill the beds.

  • “Selling inmates e-books from project Gutenberg, folks if you don’t kno what project Gutenberg is, I don’t know either” 🤣🤣🤣 thought he was fixing to drop some banger knowledge on us but hell he didn’t kno either! Lmao bruh Joe is hilarious 😂💀💀

  • Wonder how much a jailbreak was up in the prison? Cause u kno somebody figured that shit out 🤣

  • Mf’s made billions!!

  • Shooot I remember them tracphones when I was in 8th or 9th grade it would cost u about 10 dollars for 10 mins lol and if u talked for 15 seconds it would charge a whole damn minute! Haha and they only give u so many text messages.. but that was on the number pad no full key board.. I can’t even imagine writing this comment it would take u 3 days to write this shit 🤣🤣

  • Excellent ground work Joe! This is a good video, thanks

  • I did a video on this on my channel and YouTube took it down. My guy is doing time and they have been fighting to get this into court (he is a legal guy).

For example, where he is, you don’t get a GTL tablet. You rent it – you give your ID to the guard and get it back after an hour. 4 cents a minute just to log in. Messages are 25 cents for 100 characters

The big issue is the prison sends “Institutional mail” such as notifying prisoners that prices will be going up or fines increasing. You can vote against it. But you only see that if you log into the tablet.
For those at work, or in the hole, they get no tablets until much much later. So the administrations gets away with saying “We passed that rule and most did not object”.
Well you can’t object if you don’t know it.
And if you write a grievance to object, then it’s Refusing an order, and you’re in the hole.
Either way, they circumvent the law by doing this sneaky crap.

Also there is a report we got as to how much Wardens get to take home as “kick backs” for using the systems in their facility.

  • Oh my how they rob inmates and families telephones, access orders, mail getting money cost money to give them these money yeah prison all fucked up. Yeah I guess it’s supposed to be there but don’t rob inmates. Wait oh.

  • Based. Thanks for exposing this mane

  • Prisons should use spectrum. Get that free digital phone service.

  • What a crazy system😮

  • I just got released last month from an Ohio prison. The GTL tablets and prices aren't too bad here we considered ourselves lucky. Phone calls are 2 cents a minute and they give us 3 free 30 min calls every week since COVID happened and emails are 10 cents each. Streaming music unlimited is $13 a month and we could get Pluto TV for $12.50 a month. We got our tablets free.

  • Talking should be free.
