  • Ive read about some particularly nasty tribalism within the deaf community between differing levels of deafness and prejudice againt hearing impaired people seeking implants etc

  • Oh, its the deaf girl from ifunny we all have devoted our lives to die for.

  • I love myself fullness Deaf proud than CI !

  • You got me fooled, your sign language looked pretty real to me😅

  • No, I don't think so.

  • I love your “up c” sign for accessible communication!! We 💖 sign ingenuity!!!! You Define your Deafness!!

  • I would love a date?

  • You are so freaking cute Chrissy! ❤️ Wish I lived in the same country as you, I would 100% invite you out 😄 unless you of course have a boyfriend 😅 then he's insanely! lucky 😆

  • I love watching your videos and mores importantly. You are beautiful inside and out.

  • I don't really have words right now, so… 🫂🫂🫂🫂🫂

  • The gatekeeping in the Deaf community is why I am glad I was raised in mainstream school and my mum spent hours every night teaching me to speak. I have severe to profound hearing loss in one ear and total hearing loss in the other. I have a cochlear implant but it doesn't work. I rely on one hearing aid and it's not enough. I have to lip read and rely on visual cues. It is REALLY tough and I consider myself to be Deaf! I don't care what anyone says.

  • Thank you for this! I've been hard of hearing my whole life and have always felt like an outsider.

  • I'm deaf in my left ear and I think you are perfect. Thanks for all you do.

  • As a BK amputee I might say a finger amputee is not a "real amputee" but I wouldn't say it because an AK amputee could say the same about me.

  • I got enough of that in the beginning. A year later and a few meetings within the deaf community and they understood me more. I know why they are apprehensive about newly deafened people, not everyone has good intentions that wants or needs to learn sign language. I understand that. By some peoples standards online I am not deaf enough, but how much more deaf you want me to be? Profound hearing loss not enough for some, it’s okay if you don’t like me. There are more than a trillion people on this blue marble.

  • Well said Chrissy. In the end it's all about communication and I will add connection, a sense of this one is important for most people and communication facilitates it 🙂

  • I am truly sorry, but I’m going to speak about “the elephant in the room”. What kind of rude, insensitive and inconsiderate “person” does it take to tell… or JUDGE anyone else, least of all a person with a medical disability ??? It’s absolutely despicable, in the day and age that we live that people cannot evolve and accept people who they are !!! After many many years on this planet, I have come to believe this … it’s not that you “not enough”, it’s that they are not enough, and they never will be !!!!

  • Deh.. Anyone who gives you guff about that is an ahole.. Seriously. Everyone deserves to be understood regardless of their level of deafness. 🤗

  • You are amazing. I'd love to meet you if you're in the western suburbs of Chicago.

  • I don't have anyone in my life who is deaf or hard of hearing, but your videos have inspired me to learn ASL! It's been so much more fun than I expected, and I'm so excited to have so many more people I can communicate with! You're doing a lot of good in the world, and I appreciate you.

  • Hearing, but it’s crazy that accessibility is being weaponized. Like how dare someone make a personal medical decision!

  • Whoever pulls that card and says you, or anyone else, isn’t deaf enough are freaking idiots, and asinine.

What is it for them…some sort of purity test? Jeez, how I hate these type of people. You are a light, and inspiration to so many.

You be you! I admire all that you do, and stand for.

We got your back and please continue to be the wonderful person and soul you are.

    🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

  • Fully deaf in my left ear. Stone gone. I lost it 12 years ago. My right has struggled to keep up, and I've lost some hearing in that one, too. Getting a new audiogram on Thursday for new hearing aids! Rechargeable ones! No more 312 batteries! Woo hoo!

  • Amen!!!!! Big hugs! Keep smiling, Chrissy!

  • You are beautiful, I wish I could go on a date with you

  • ✨🙏🌊💙🌎💙🌊🙏✨ hello 😊 sending love from southeast Indiana US…I would love for you to teach me…
    ✨💙 Bri 💙✨

  • I say Amen Sister! Please keep being an inspiration to others. I ❤️ your videos, that is why I am a subscriber. I am not deaf, but I do know those that are. It is everyone's right to be included by any and all ways possible.

  • 70% hearing loss is deaf enough for me to have a really hard time communicating. Deaf enough that my specialized HAs cost more than my car and I still have to rely on lipreading.

  • As you probably all ready know this, but lets make sure. If they are hating on you, that means they are very unhappy with their lives. They want to point out things about you that they don't like. This way they can feel better about their own inadequacies. So don't take anything a hater says to heart. If you want to pity them for being an unhappy person, then so be it. If it were me, I would tell them I don't want you hate. Go hate on someone else.

  • Every time you show up in my feed, you give me the most genuinely happy smile on my face. Like, Im not trying to do it, it just literally happens. You must be that great of a human, that even your digital signature vibrates in the spectrum of love 🙌

  • I love you Chrissy Marshall…Kd.—

  • Lst's make it scary.

  • People project their self image and insecurities onto others. And some have their own issues. They’re probably on the spectrum of something too.

  • I’m not deaf enough either bi lateral CI recipient after being late deafened. Communication is everything

  • ✌🏻✌🏻🥰🥰😎😎

  • Rock On!!! And be yourself… everyone within pure soul to have to fill with joys and learns. We all have VALID within accessible communication!
I am not deaf enough as well, I can sign, speak and wearing hearing aids as total communication nowadays! Others call me hard of hearing. By better technology through videochat, texting, closed captioning and more!!! Thanks Chrissy 🤟🏼

  • Thank you!

This is a lovely thing to remind folks of!

  • I was born deaf ,I don't fully sign language but I lip read and speak very well

  • Thank you for this! I took 1 semester of ASL in college and it was the most fun college class I ever took! I don’t know a lot of sign since it was the first class in the ASL minor, but I know more now than I did before I took the class. I hope to take more ASL classes in the future!🤟

  • I been crushing on Chrissy of lately. She is gorgeous

  • You always have a way of hitting it spot on! 😮‍💨 thank you for sharing this.
