The glasses also help her practice speaking by testing whether her own words appear correctly on screen.

IT's heartwarming and good for her but you can guess right away that the creator of the glasses is not deaf…. like imagine watching an anime without sounds and just subtitles…
@ares886
This is what technology should be used for.
@eeyancovenant8460
Technologia – Technologia …
@florians.1905
Its giving her subtitles for her self too!
@D3ckDawg
Hope it makes your life a little easier Kendyl.
@sunnyking3825
Just think if you cannot hear how many words you know… its not that many… having a small vocabulary really can hold you back.. she is about to have an explosion in her word count and begin to train her voice to speak many many new words.
@Hal-lj7kp
This could help her own speech too right? She seems more amazed that itโs translating her own words.
@LostboyUk
They should not cost that much! Too many would not be able to afford such and incredible invention!
@mikalabaker6110
i believe she heard her own voice for the 1st time
@VeryHappy2bMe
Is it creating subtitles for her own words though? That seems impractical despite it seemingly blowing her mind here, lol.
@coreyhughes1456
she was happy to see her words

With all my heart, I wish I'd been someone who made things like this a reality. If only I'd know back when I was choosing a life path how I'd feel watching things like this…
Huge love and respect to the people who make this possible. I hope everyone that wants and needs this tech gets access.
Can't wait to see what empowering tech emerges next to change lives in this way.
@centurionstrengthandfitnes3694

I wonder how the glasses are going to work in the middle of a city filled with people, walking, talking everywhere.:
((gibberish subtitles))
@emirhanerden7509
This is what matters. Smiling children, technology used for the greater good. This is the point, this is the only point.
@voldlifilm
I almost wish I didn't watch these – I can't be randomly bawling my eyes out at 2am
@drankydrank1
