Sarah was my ASL teacher in high school! So glad to see that you are making your content available for everyone! It was so fun and an amazing experience getting to learn from her!
@darianharkcom7246
Thank you for this informative video. I noticed that, whenever you mentioned ASL, I could hear you speak ACL.
@VulcanOnWheels
Just watched this on YouTube for the first time today after what happened yesterday and the day before. I'm still learning ASL, but I think I'm getting good at it. Should have watched this after the other ASL video with Meredith, herself. Thank you and God bless

Iβm very HOH and though I have a father thatβs deaf and cousin that is deaf as well, no one knows anything of Deaf culture and Deaf & HOH in history and to date. Iβve tried hanging out with other Deaf & HOH people but I feel so left out because Iβm not as fluent in ASL and they say that Iβm not Deaf enough for them. I feel like Iβm in limbo. π I had hoped my father would learn some ASL but he just wasnβt interested, and the rest of my family are all hearing, so I always get the, βjust turn up your hearing aidsβ, line. I just want to Thank you and so many other HOH &/or Deaf people that make such nice, informative and welcoming content. I donβt feel AS alone in my own world. ππ€β€

Sarah nailed it when she said, "We're Deaf. We're not different. We're Deaf."

Often at work, I take my mask off when speaking to elderly, because so many elderly ppl read lips. We never stop to consider that a lot of ppl will lose significant hearing with age.
@aurora3655
Thanks! This is so helpful. My niece is deaf and having a hearing family, there're many things I don't even realize.
@IGeseT
I always enjoy your videos so much you're my favorite ASL teacher. I live in a retired apartment complex and there is a deaf lady here and we're friends. I am trying to learn ASL so I can talk to her with my hands instead of us writing everything. She is so sweet and I love this thing with her. Thank you for all of your teachings they're really helping me.
@IvaAlexander-078
Um I don't know if I missed it but how do you feel about movie theaters?
