@mester84
I just got done watching this video and I have to honestly say I am twice as confused as I was before watching this comparing the midrange and midbasses and if the midbass ones are really necessary for a decent 2k watt system upgrade. Thanks u guy.
@towinglegends5815
you forget woofer 😂😂😂😂
@islamicaffairs5162
He’s a explanation is hard to understand
@Soulriderpowder
my 2 12's play best at around like 50hz and sound shit at high frequency(for subs, like 80hz-120hz for example). i have decent mid range speakers in front doors and decent coaxials in back doors but i feel my sound stage is pretty empty, you need midbass speakers because subs dont get that like 60-120 hz range good and you need something for 120hz-5khz on top of your midranges, more for the lower end though.
@flute136
love the channel man just got started on my car audio j
@Alwayz_Angry
I'm in for customize speaker tho, semi plastic/paper cone speaker. I've believe they can be full range, using one set of speaker & tweeter. We can power the frequency output with equalizer anytime as desired. But I'm really in for speaker without distortion. Something the amplifier on full power doesn't really sounds all that great.
@mscherrylover8
Came across your video on cam pairing speakers .but I a tore I want to build some speakers for hometheater .. x7 and are looking at the deaf bounce 6.5 mid bass . What paired with a compression horn . Looking at doing 2 or 4 mid bass per Cabinet . What are your thoughts..? I am a bass junky lol…
@johnsmith-qz4bv

@DaCharacterMon

@percymack7414
Hey awesome videos!! @LIFEINSPEED. What your best 6.5 midbass or mid range for bass under 200w rms? Thanks in advance:).
@hazerslife4624
Thank you for all your videos buddy. Always great to watch. Midbass is good for SQ system, when you use low wattage subwoofers.
@anthonybrown6143
Hey Mike, as usual great video, question, have you ever heard of VLS speakers? They are full range 10" speakers engineered in Trinidad by Sylvester Clarke. It's putting RCF, FAITAL PRO, B&C, PRV, BEYMA, DS18 and more a run for their money! Check it out for yourself you will not regret it!!!! 💯
@josiah912
Infinity kappa or orion hcca neo?
@MrFernie21
Hope you do review on some of the new B2 Audio speakers coming into the USA next week.
@BigJeffAudio
I love this channel lol
Im replacing my blown DJL Pops 6.5s in my subaru. I have done sound deadening also. They are a brand from chicago if you havent herd of them do your research alot of people buy them locally and lots of guys run them on motorcycles. I blew them out bc i was running them full range. I moved recently and took my woofers out of my car and i cranked up the volume to loud for to long probably and recently ive noticed lots of distortion and rattling and i geuss i blew them…. Any way they dont make the 6.5s anymore so i was thinking of going with JL audio but id like to see you conpare them with other options and get your thoughts and feedback about them.
@itsyaboycris2987
Ct sounds meso test please brother. With down 4 sound component..
@ninjagrowlabs895
You have no clue what youre talking about. All your vids are the exact same thing, horrible takes and guessing from terrible "testing". lol. Just laughable.
@imawesomeyourenot
I run a set of 250w RMS (each) DS18 Pro-X 6.5" speakers for my fronts. They are a midrange speaker, crossed over at ~130hz at per DS18 recommendations, and they sound absolutely amazing. I have them on almost full power (about 220-230w RMS each) and I can hear them loud and clear over 5kw of bass. The subs run up to ~130hz on a -16db slope and it all blends in perfectly. Long live the midrange.
@soldjahboy
Midbass can reproduce midrange and bass at the same time, usually from around 80hz.
Midrange drivers aren't intended to play bass and usually crossed over around 400hz or higher.
Woofers reproduce lower frequencies around 45-50hz up to 2,000hz generally.
Subwoofers reproduce sub-octave low frequencies as low as 20-30hz and cannot reproduce vocals or high-frequency signals well.
Tweeters are the workhorses of audio, reproducing highest frequency content, starting around 1,500hz and going as high as 20khz.
Supertweeters are tweeters too, but are crossed over higher, usually 5khz to 9khz up to 20khz.
* these are general rules and by no means engraved in stone.
@csj9619
Need to hear them…
@sMASHsound
I think every speaker has its purpose. If you are a SPL guy and you just want to get loud, then I agree with the midrange as the ideal choice. If you are a SQL guy then you should look for a midrange/midbass speaker. These play low enough and high enough with a slight decrease in efficiency, maybe a decibel or 2. If you are an SQ guy or maybe from the Caribbean, mid bass is very important. It makes your music sound fuller and those speakers are much more efficient than any car subwoofer that you buy. Subwoofers do not play the woofer frequencies well. With that, you should select your speaker based on what your want from your system.
@shemarwilliam4369
Nice
@iramm2632
lets go mike been waiting on ya 😀
@jasonsantiago3017
Something is wrong with the subtitles in your video , its mixing up midbass and midrange lol
@MKVally
Back in the late 90s i had a set of cheap pyramid 6.5. i paired with some fultron (now Memphis) tweeters. Man those sounded so warm blew me away.
@bobdodge3171
You didn't mention the orion Hccas
@kdeaze05
@LIFEINSPEEDMikeAngels- I Need a Solid Mid Bass in my vehicles Audio system, because i am tuned very low for my (4)- 18" Fi Car Audio subwoofers. My subwoofers play 12 Hz to 50 Hz very well. After 50 Hz my subwoofers fall off like a rock, so i have (8)- 6.5" Mid Bass drivers that i bought, & i have custom built enclosures for them, that play well down into the mid 30 Hz range, but for higher power handling i like to run my High Pass filter @ 50 Hz for Sound Quality Listening, & @ 80 Hz for Loud demos. For Sound Quality Listening I like to set my Low pass filter for my subwoofers @ 50 Hz, & for Loud demos the LPF is set @ 80 Hz. If i didn't have dedicated Mid Bass, (i tried), it has a massive hole in the transition from my subwoofers, to my midranges that i tried. I will say my set up is not the "Normal Car Audio system". Most subwoofer setups are tuned much higher than mine, & will play up to 100 Hz to 125 Hz, & in that situation a dedicated Mid Bass setup is not really needed. But i ❤ the Low Lowwz! To give you an idea of my No-wall 4-18" setups Low freq. Capabilities, it can do a 150 Db+ @ 19 Hz👀!
@evilinside5984
I'm looking for a good midbass speaker. I have a factory radio. I tried midrange speakers, and yeah, they are loud but lack that low end. From 50 to 100hz. I have sub, but I don't always listen to my music with the sub on. So, a good midbass would help. Now a good midbass pair with a good midrange speaker and some good tweeter is perfect together
@teeceehonda
Subwoofer 20-80hz, Mid bass 80-1.5khz, Midrange (compression drivers) 1.5-5khz, and super tweeters 5-20khz.
@imjustyourneighbor3602
Mike I have the Lw65a4 & mlh 60. Exceptional midbass paired with my fi audio 15. I don't miss a note they catch 80hz & up. Subs have a bandwidth of 21hz – 63hz. That's why I run & love the traditional midbass surround/woofer
@tcc3248
Deaf Bonce for life 😎😎
@imjustyourneighbor3602
I looking for four 8in midranges 300w rms each what would you suggest???
@JdmAnts
It's always the best option to have dedicated speakers for each specific purpose, but that doesn't make others options bad. I personally run mid bass speakers so that my subs can be crossed low and don't have to get worn out prematurely from the heat generated from running the higher frequencies. It's a cleaner sound as well because the subs are playing closer to their natural tuning.
@emmittbishop4783
What do you think about b2 audio 6.5 pro speakers.
@richardwilson5944
I think the mid base speakers has its place. But what i've come to learn is if the mid Range speaker is in and right enclosure. You can get the punchinness from it. Go for me if you buy Mid Bay speaker. They usually don't play if R. Miss power correctly if the frequency is like 50 or 80 so, it was kind of waste of a time. I wish they would make more full range speakers with hi. R. M. S that way you don't have to wire so much stuff and have so many multiple amplifiers when you're doing a huge build. I like a mid Bay speaker that can play at least up to 10000 hurts. Because I'm going to do like 10 speakers per door.
Which is really loud and no subwoofer, can keep up. So why would at least like to hear some kind of bottom in on the door speakers
@willianroberts7400
Thats a great way to explain. When I started car stereo there wasn't YouTube. I learn from buying and trying it . Thus guy is saving people money and giving knowledge. Thats the key to success
